This week, we wanted to introduce you to the story and the dressing room of...
AMANDINE LUGNIER
A mother of 3 children, founder of the pop-up stores The Reunion , passionate about fashion:
How do you define your style?
"I would say my style is eclectic . It can be very casual, there are times when I wear leggings every day and others where I'm much more chic . I have a pretty hectic life between my life with the kids, the events I organize and my daily work. I think what defines my style is that it's very colorful . I love mixing vintage pieces with new pieces!
What is your favorite piece of clothing?
“My favourite piece is a piece that I recently found in my wardrobe while trying to sort out. It’s a jacket by an English designer, Hayley Menzies . I love it because I can dress however I want, I just put on this jacket and I feel like a rockstar !!”
What is your favorite brand?
"I have a lot of French designers that I love like Molli but also Modetrotter or Heimstone . The brand that I'm most excited about at the moment is the brand La Veste by Maria de la Orden and Blanca Miro ! I think it's a pretty amazing mix of Maria's classicism and Blanca's madness ."
What is the place of second-hand goods in your life?
" I use a lot of second-hand clothes for my children ; they grow up very quickly so I prefer to buy them second-hand pieces. What I find great is that we often see the children dressed the same... when I buy them second-hand and vintage clothes I am sure that they are wearing unique pieces ! I also resell a lot of their clothes.
Personally, I tend to use second-hand goods to find gems from old collections that I missed or pieces that no longer exist new .
Can we see your favorite second-hand item?
“ Thanks to Instagram I found shoes I was looking for which are Gucci loafers, the leather Jordaan , I found them exactly in my size! ”
What do you look at first before buying a piece of clothing?
“ Before buying a garment, I look at who is behind it ? Can I know the designer, who made my clothes? Where are they made ?
I really like getting to know the person behind the brand...and I'm lucky enough to be able to do that because I work in that industry. So I've seen a lot of amazing designers come and grow up!”
