A new month begins after the endless period of January. At REASYKL , we meet for our monthly meeting: the favorites! Fashion, fashion week, beloved brand... We have prepared a list of our favorites. February will be short but rich in discovery! Accessories, events, trends... We take out our notebook to stock up on inspiration.
Mirèio: The favorite brand
Welcome to Mirèio . On the program: Mediterranean atmosphere and quilted jackets with floral prints.
The brand, founded by Margaux Rica and Paul-Henri Bayart , offers pieces with Provençal inspirations. Timeless, they will remind us of our summers in the South. The jackets and shoes are made with respect for craftsmanship in order to pay homage to Provençal folklore and traditions. The production is based in Paris but the fabrics come from the village of Saint-Étienne-du-Grès, in Provence . A real favorite for the jackets which come in blue, vermilion and white. Perfect with Levi's jeans for a sunny look!
Mirèio is the brand to follow, slow and super trendy, we love it!
Copenhagen Fashion Week
During the Paris Haute Couture Week, another fashion event brought together clothing lovers: the CPHFW aka Copenhagen Fashion Week. Milan, Paris, New York and London are well known for hosting the famous fashion weeks. However, a new city is making its entrance by bringing together the cream of the crop of designers. Opéra Sport , Skall Studio , Saks Potts... Copenhagen is the Eldorado of sustainable fashion.
Between authenticity and innovation, Danish creation stands out. It offers a range of choices by reinventing the basics like the Skall sisters . Trench coats, tailored pants, knitwear... The pieces are made with quality and love. Halfway between Quiet Luxury and British fashion, Skall Studio creates a timeless wardrobe. Danish fashion is also sparkling. Full of color and pep, it is popular with fashionistas. As we have seen, on Instagram, Scandinavian influencers are among the most followed. They do not hesitate to mix tones for a result that is always successful. At Ganni , an already renowned house, neon and large prints are the brand's success. Little checked dresses and studded ballet flats sell like hotcakes. The secret? A couple, Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup , who are building their empire hand in hand.
Copenhagen Fashion Week represents the future of fashion. By rethinking the contours of a consumerist industry, it is a vanguard in today's landscape. Long live CPHFW!
The knot: the flagship accessory
Who said that the hair bow was old-fashioned? Surely not fashion, which puts it back on a pedestal. Star of the Chanel show, it is just as much a must-have during the day as at night. Red, in velvet or as a barrette, the bow completes a slightly preppy outfit. Stars are making it their own, like actress Margaret Qualley who wore it to open the Chanel Haute Couture show, designed by Virginie Viard.
The bow has a very special history because it was used by women to show their social status: single, married or in love. This accessory therefore had an important symbolism. Over time, it made a place for itself on the catwalks, particularly at Chanel. The French house made it its trademark like the camellia. It embellishes hair as well as outfits. In small detail or in maxi format, the bow becomes an essential. Its little extra ? It can either be tied in a braid like in the Bridgerton Chronicles or attached in the form of a headband.
Bowcore is probably the lightest trend of the season. Cute and elegant, the bow dresses up an outfit in the same way as a piece of jewelry.
The Mob Wife: TikTok Trend
A rather surprising trend has emerged on TikTok. Since then, everyone has been talking about it. Does the Mob Wife ring a bell? Big fur on the shoulders, Italian mobster wife and fake red nails... That's how to sum up the Mob Wife's appearance in a few words. She has populated our imagination in particular through the films of Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and the series The Sopranos . We often see her in the background, behind her husband, while always being overdressed (a bit kitsch). She shows off her expensive bags and her myriad of gold jewelry. On social networks, the trend is resurfacing in particular through celebrity photos. Kendall Jenner was spotted with a huge fur during her ski vacation. Dressed in her transparent stockings and pumps, she was right in the Mob Wife era.
The Mob Wife is the opposite of certain trends like the Clean Girl, all wise and discreet. She asserts herself and takes the lead thanks to her material attributes. She is glamorous and displays ostentatious luxury. Her style gives her aplomb and allows her to assert herself. Transparency, fur (fake, obviously!) and high heels... The Mob Wife is the trend of the beginning of the year!
